The Deputy Governor of Anambra State, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim has eulogized the State Government for its sustained infrastructural development across the state, describing it as a major boost to the success of the yuletide celebrations.
Addressing members of the press in his office, Dr. Ibezim who also serves as Chairman of the Planning Committee for the Onwa Dezember Programme acknowledged the efforts of the state government under the leadership of Governor Soludo, noting that significant investments in road infrastructure and urban connectivity has eased movement across major parts of the state.
He further stated that the construction and rehabilitation of access roads linking various communities, including the old and new Awka city, have greatly reduced travel times, assuring residents and visitors that movement to different venues and locations during the festive season would be seamless.
The Deputy Governor further highlighted the importance of newly constructed flyovers connecting strategic parts of the state, with particular reference to the Aroma flyover linking Ifite and adjoining areas, describing the project as a landmark intervention that has improved traffic flow and enhanced urban mobility.
