United States President Donald Trump has announced that the United States would impose a thirty-five percent tariff on imports from Canada next month, while eyeing blanket tariffs of fifteen to twenty percent on most other trading partners as he broadens his trade war.
President Trump told Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney the new rate would go into effect on August first and will increase if Canada retaliate.
