Tributes At Burial Of Late Francis Umeji At Nimo

It was a testimony of a life well lived in service to humanity and anchored on deep faith in God, as attested by the children of Late Chief Francis Umeji during his burial at Uruokofia village, Nimo, Njikoka Council Area.

Correspondent Kenechukwu Chukwudi reports that at the requiem mass for the deceased, held at Saint Vincent Catholic Church, Nimo in Njikoka Local Government Area, which gathered family members, friends and well wishers who came to pay their last respect, the Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Reverend Paulinus Ezeokafor, who presided  over the mass, admonished Christians on purposeful living rooted in God’s teachings, stressing that life after death is judgement before God and thanked  God for the life of Chief Umeji,  while  prayed for peaceful repose of his soul.      

Speaking later , one of the sons of late Chief Umeji, Mr. Orachukwu Umeji explained that the father was a jovial person, liked by all who came across him, a devout Catholic and a disciplinarian who would be missed.

Another son of the deceased, Mr. Emeka Umeji also echoed that the father was an amazing man, humble, simple and related to all easily, while a family friend, Chief Johnchucks Onwuazor from Adazi-Ani noted that the deceased was always ready to give advice and assistance to people, lamenting that his  presence will be missed.
