Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, has warned that henceforth any school principal found aiding students in examination malpractice will be summarily dismissed from service without benefits.
Correspondents Miracle Mbadugha and Cynthia Umeokechukwu report that the state Commissioner for Education, Professor Ngozi Chuma-Udeh who disclosed this while speaking to ABS in Awka, noted that the move aims at maintaining examination integrity and promoting academic excellence in schools across the state, and made it clear that under no circumstance should principals involve themselves in “dirty games” that tarnish the integrity of Education in Anambra state.
Professor Chuma-Udeh urged principals to uphold the values of discipline, honesty, and transparency in the discharge of their duties, noting that Soludo administration is committed to sustaining the state’s record of excellence in education.
She emphasized that the directive is binding on all school administrators in the state, adding that the government will not accept any act capable of destroying the academic future of students and tarnishing the reputation of Anambra’s educational system.
