Anambra state government will launch a special action against crime and criminalities for improved businesses across the State.
Governor Chukwuma Soludo disclosed this during the grand female of 2024 Press week and man of the year award of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Anambra state council, at the Godwin Ezemo International Press Center, Awka.
Represented by the Commissioner for Information, Dr Law Mefor, Governor Soludo assured Ndi Anambra crime free yuletide adding that the government will continue to partner Journalists for effective dissemination of its programmes and policies.
A resource person Dr Monday Ashibong said the media, has a role to play in reshaping the economy through their reportage.
The chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Anambra State council, Dr Emeka Odogwu, highlighted some of his achievements and called for more government and individual support to the council.
The Chairman on the occasion Professor Stella Okunna explained that the media is very vital to the socio-economic well-being of any society.
