Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, has commissioned the thirteen kilometer Nzam road, a project that has been jinxed under successive governments.
Governor Soludo made a historic entrance during the commissioning ceremony, pointing out that the road is a campaign promise which is now fulfilled, as the local government headquarters had been existing without a motorable road since creation.

Speaking shortly after making a triumphant entry into the Anambra West Local Government headquarter in Nzam, amidst chants and warm reception by the people, Governor Soludo noted that the promise is in line with the identity of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, as a party that enthrones a government of empathy and compassion.
He emphasized that his government is on a mission of transformation and development to reach those who have been left behind and abandoned.

Anambra State Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Affairs, Mr Tony-Collins Nwabunwanne, pointed out that all the local government areas in the state have received democracy dividends, just as the State Chairman of APGA, Barr. Ifeatu Obiokoye, who received those that decamped into the party, stated that the difference is now clear under Governor Soludo.
While the Mayor of Anambra West Local Government Area, Mr Fidelis Nnazor, appreciated the Governor for all the good works he has done in the area, especially the tarred road, ongoing General Hospital project, free education, free antenatal and delivery services, among others, Chief John Ozoemena, who spoke on behalf of the people that decamped to APGA, said that they have seen the light in APGA and decided to identify with it.

The Governor also commissioned the administrative block built by his administration inside the premises of the local government headquarters.
