Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, has commissioned Maximum Cap Rice Mills Nigeria Limited, built by Honourable Chukwuemeka Egbogah at Umuokpu village Awka.
Correspondent Emmanuel Chigbata reports that speaking at the event, Governor Soludo represented by the Commissioner for Industry, Mr. Christian Udechukwu commended Honourable Egbogah for adhering to the “think home” philosophy of his administration by investing in his community and contributing to the industrialization drive of the state.


In his remarks, the Chief Executive Officer of the Rice Mills, Honourable Egbogah, said that the project was inspired by Governor Soludo’s call on Ndi Anambra to bring their wealth home through the “Aku Luo Uno” policy, and noted that the factory is aimed at creating jobs, stimulating the local economy, and consolidating the state’s leading role in the agricultural sector .

Also speaking, the President General of Umuokpu, Dr. Edwin Okeke, expressed delight as it is the first rice mill in the community while the General Manager of the factory, Mr. Emmanuel Egbogah, assured that the facility would be efficiently managed.
