Anambra State Governor Professor Chukwuma Soludo, has commended Rotary International for its continued support to humanity, urging the organization to intensify its charitable efforts in the areas of health, education, flood and disaster management among others.
Governor Soludo who was represented by his deputy, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, made the remarks at the 2025 District Conference of Rotary International District 9142, held in Awka, which attracted members from the seven states that make up the District including Anambra, Imo, Enugu, Abia, Ebonyi, Akwa Ibom and Cross Rivers.
In his remarks, the District Governor of Rotary International District 9142, Professor Nkemdili Nnonyelu, appreciated members for their individual and collective contributions to the progress of the club, and expressed satisfaction that under his leadership, the district has recorded notable achievements.
Delivering a lecture on infertility, the immediate past Acting Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Professor Joseph Ikechebelu identified some causes of infertility to include stress, anxiety, marital discord and abortion, recommending medical check-ups and treatment for manageable fertility issues.
