Young techies over the weekend converged on Awka, the Anambra State capital, for the second edition of Social Media Festival, tagged “SMFEST Awka 2025”
Correspondent, Joseph Egbeocha reports that in his remark at the event with the theme; “Disrupt and evolve” the Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Right Honourable Somtochukwu Udeze, who thanked Governor Chukwuma Soludo for supporting programmes aimed at uplifting the youths, expressed readiness to formulate laws that will increase participation of younger ones in the technological development of the state.
Contributing, the Majority Leader of the Anambra State House of Assembly and Chairman, House Committee on Homeland Security, Sir Ikenna Ofodeme, while also thanking Governor Soludo for the love he has for the youths, urged young people to use the initiative and agitate for their future.
The Special Adviser to Governor Chukwuma Soludo on Innovation and Business Incubation, Chinwe Okoli, described the SMFEST as part of the digital ecosystem that the Soludo administration is building, and charged youths to get more involved, as the goal is to build a digital tribe.
