School Resumption: Anambra Education Commissioner Chuma-Udeh Asks Teachers To Upgrade Knowledge, Skills

The State Commissioner for Education, Professor Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, has encouraged teachers in Anambra to use the ongoing holiday to equip themselves with the necessary knowledge that will enable them to better mould their pupils and students ahead of school resumption.

Professor Chuma-Udeh gave the charge while speaking to ABS in Awka on the need for teachers to regularly upgrade their skills in order to remain relevant in the teaching profession, which she described as evolving.

The Commissioner commended teachers in the state who have continued to make sacrifices to meaningfully impact their pupils and students, while urging those still adopting the old methods to embrace modern trends.

She also advised students to prepare their minds and remain focused on their studies as schools resume.
