SASA Destroys Illicit Drugs Worth Over N100M In Awka

The Anambra State Special Anti-Touting Squad, SASA has destroyed illicit  drugs worth over one hundred million naira in Awka.

Speaking during the exercise, the Managing Director of SASA, Honourable Monday Nwokoye noted that the destruction of the hard drugs signaled firm resolve to cracking down on drug abuse and criminality. 

He declared zero tolerance for drug dealers and users, as the agency will continue to crack down on them, urging touts and those engaging in illegal activities and drug abuse to desist or face the full weight of the law, and warned that all offenders would face decisive action to protect public safety and the future of the youth.

The SASA Managing Director canvassed for community cooperation in reporting suspicious activities and commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for supporting the agency’s mandate to sanitize the state and sustain security across Anambra.
