The Mayor of Awka South local government area Prince Chinedu Okafor has commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for all his efforts aimed at promoting inter State unity and preservation of historical identity which according to him reflects his leadership values rooted in respect, reconciliation and cultural harmony.
Speaking to the ABS during the historic restoration of Abakaliki Street in Awka by Governor Soludo which was changed to Club Road by the previous administration in 2018, Prince Chinedu maintained that the renaming of the street marked the return to tradition and recognition of the streets historical significance.
The Mayor described the restoration of Abakaliki Street as not only an administrative sagacity but a symbol of the commitment of Anambra in inclusiveness and shared legacy with her neighbours.
