Police Smash Robbery Syndicate In Awka, Arrest Two Suspects, Recover Arms

Members of Operation Puff Adder in conjunction with a Patrol team
attached to the ‘B’ Division of the Nigeria Police in Awka, have
smashed a robbery syndicate operating close to Roselife Hotel, along
the old INEC road and arrested one Audu Paul Victor  aged twenty,
alias Executioner, who hails from Ejule in Ufu Local Government Area
of Kogi State but residing at Nodu Okpuno and John Okoli aged
twenty-eight, alias Ocha, who hails from Okposhi in Ohaozara Local
Government Area of Ebonyi State, but resides at Mbaukwu in Awka South
Local Government Area.


Exhibits recovered from the suspects include a locally made
cut-to-size single barrel gun loaded with a live cartridge, a tricycle
with registration number, IMO UML 452 Q6, and a vehicle identification
number 2981.


A release signed by the Police Public Relations Officer Mr  Haruna
Mohammed said that the case is under investigation after which the
suspects will be charged to Court for prosecution.
