The fifteen communities in Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra State have adopted an official zoning framework and political rotational charter for all elective and appointive positions, including the Council Chairman and Deputy, State House of Assembly members, and Supervisory Councilors, aimed at promoting unity, political stability, equitable representation, and sustainable development.
The resolution was reached at the end of meeting of stakeholders in the area, tagged “Extraordinary General Assembly”, which also stipulated that no zone among the three political blocks shall hold any position for more than two consecutive tenures, while the Council Chairman, Mr Shadrach Azubuike, donated three Sienna buses, three motorcycles, and other security gadgets to Agunechemba Security Outfit to boost local security, after leading an inspection of the Solution Digital Academy and the Orumba South Security Control Room.

Addressing the Assembly, Mayor Azubuike commended the communities for embracing the zoning charter, describing it as a reflection of their collective commitment to fairness and balanced political participation, assuring that the upgraded security architecture will further create a safer environment for governance and community development.

In their remarks, former Deputy Governor of Anambra State, Dr. Emeka Sibeudu, former House of Representatives Member Honourable Ben Nwankwo, Chief Arinze Onwuzuluike, and the President General of Nawfija, Mr. Oforbuike Okoli, praised the adoption of the rotational charter, describing it as a visionary step that will reduce political tension, discourage unhealthy rivalry, and ensure peaceful transitions across the zone.
