A member of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, IPMAN, Chief Jonathan Nzekwe has described lopsided economic policies of the government as the bane of the Nation.
Speaking with ABS Business Correspondent, Abuchi Nwozor, on the 65th anniversary of Nigeria as an independent and sovereign Nation, Chief Nzekwe regretted that poor economic policy of the government is seriously affecting many sectors of the natition’s economy including the oil and gas, and called on the government to always make policies that will improve the living standards of the people in addition to stimulating the economy for enhanced development of the country.
Chief Nzekwe who regretted that at 65 Nigeria is still facing some daunting challenges including fluctuating pump price of petrol, and called on the federal government to seek ways of issuing more license to potential investors to build modular refineries in the country to ensure constant availability of the petroleum products and at reduced prices.
The IPMAN member, Chief Nzekwe while calling on the citizenry to always believe in the Nation’s project, commended the federal ministry of education for restoring the teaching and learning of history in the basic school curriculum which he noted will enable the children understand their roots.
