A people’s culture is their identity and way of life no wonder the people of Ogboji rolled out drums in celebration of their Olili Okochi which took place recently in the community.
The event which featured masquerade displays of various kinds brought together Ndi Ogboji from all over the country and beyond as they relaxed and enjoyed the happy mood and peaceful atmosphere of the festival.
Speaking to the ABS shortly after offering prayers to their ancestors alongside Ndi Nze Ogboji, thanking God for a bountiful harvest last year and for better yields this new year, the Traditional Prime Minister of the community, Chief Kay Anyachor and the President General of Ogboji Mr Ndubuisi Nwaedizie said that the celebration signals the commencement of this year’s farming season and urged every Ogboji person to return to farm as time is ripe for farming.
