Umueze Anam in Anambra West Local Government was agog at the weekend,
as Oganiru Age Grade of the Community held a Grand reception for the
Member representing Anambra West in the State House of Assembly, Mr
Patrick Obalim-Udoba.
The grand reception attracted government officials, members of the
Anambra State House of Assembly, Captains of Industry among others.
Members of the Oganiru age grade took turn to eulogize the Lawmaker
whom they described as a bridge builder, a Philanthropist and
dedicated Christian, adding that the grand reception was a way of
felicitating with him on his elevation as a Lawmaker.
The Speaker, Anambra State House of Assembly, Mr Uchenna Okafor
described Mr Udoba as a Lawmaker that will represent his people well.
For the Member representing Idemili North Constituency, Mr Ifeanyi
Chiekwu, Mr Udoba has the requisite knowledge and skills that will
help him to excel as a legislator and prayed God to bless him.
Other dignitaries at the event were, the Anambra State Commissioner
for Trade and Commerce, Dr. Christian Mmadubuko, the Majority Leader
Anambra State House of Assembly, Mr Nnamdi Okafor, as well as the
Deputy Majority Leader Mr Emeka Aforka.
Others were the Member representing Aguata Constituency One, Mr Nnamdi
Umeh, the Member representing Awka North, Mr John Nwokoye, the Member
representing Nnewi North, Mr Nonso Okafor, the Chairman Eke Awka
Market, Chief Jude Agummadu among others.
The event featured award presentation to the Lawmaker by the Age Grade.
