An elder statesman and a onetime Special Adviser on Political, Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Sir Godfrey Muotolu has saluted the founding fathers of the new Anambra State, for their persevering and enterprising spirit, which resulted in the solid foundation being enjoyed today.
Speaking on the backdrop of the state’s anniversary as it clocks twenty eight years of its creation, Sir Godfrey recalled the humble beginnings of the new Anambra, expressing satisfaction with the journey so far.
The former Special Adviser, who was a member of the team that mid wife the new state, commended Governor Willie Obiano, and his wife, Dr Mrs.
Ebelechukwu, for their giant strides in development of the state.
According to Sir Godfrey, Governor Obiano’s revolution in areas of security, agriculture, and human capital development has catapulted Anambra above her peers, as it now stands tall among the thirty six states of the federation.
The elder statesman called on the citizenry to always support the present government as it initiates programmes and policies that would make Anambra the economic hub of the east and Nigeria at large.
