Anambra State Commissioner of Police, Mr ikioye Orutugu has said that the command has recovered three hundred arms, twenty explosives, over one thousand ammunitions and over thirty vehicles within the past six months.
Briefing News men in his office at Police Headquarters, Amawbia, Mr Orutugu added that the command has dismantled five criminal camps across Anambra and has brought about incidents of kidnapping to barest minimum, resulting in not having any kidnapping incident in the state in the last one month.

He added that the command has equally arrested over two hundred culprits for various offences including cultists, armed robbers, suspect involved in the kidnapping and killing of Onitsha North One Constituency Lawmaker, Justice Azuka, and equally settled land disputes in some communities all within six months.

While appreciating the media for making his work easier, CP Orutugu said that he set the ball rolling immediately he assumed office by visiting key security stakeholders to improve security of lives and properties of Ndi Anambra, noting that they will leave no stone unturned to ensure that peace is sustained in the state.
