Stakeholders from various strata of the society, including the serving and former Vice Chancellors of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Rectors of Polytechnics, Provosts of Colleges of Education, students and government functionaries among others yesterday converged on the Education Trust Fund building of the Chukwumeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Igbariam campus for the twenty-fifth Inaugural lecture series of the institution.

In an opening remark, the Vice Chancellor of the university, Professor Kate Omenugha, said that the school had held the seventh Inaugural lecture before she joined the institution as the Acting Vice Chancellor in December 2023, but has risen to the twenty-fifth edition of the lecture series, a feat she said is among the numerous achievements of the institution since she assumed office, noting that more achievements would be recorded both in character, learning and infrastructure.

Delivering the lecture, the Inaugural Lecturer, and Professor of English, Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, who is also the Anambra State Commissioner for Education, dwelt extensively on the topic, “The Algorithms of the Be -side Construct: Transcending the Quandaries of Equity to Dynamic Equipoise,” called for gender harmonization devoid of struggles by the female gender to assume equal patriarchy with the male, and the need to focus on the general well being of people instead of gender for a better socio economic benefits of all.

Speaking at the event, the Anambra State Commissioner for Information, Dr. Law Mefor, the Chief Medical Director of Chukwumeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, Amaku, Awka, Dr Joe Akabuike, among others said that such lectures chart a way forward for students and the society, acknowledging that Professor Chuma-Udeh is a professor of repute and one who has and is still impacting and developing the education sector.
