Commercial bus drivers In Onitsha Commercial city have commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for the good road network across Anambra State especially repair and reconstruction of strategic roads which they said have brought about efficient transportation of passengers and goods within the state.
Speaking to the ABS at Chuba Ikpeazu Stadium where the commercial drivers came out en mass to endorse Governor Chukwuma Soludo for second term, some of the drivers, Mr.Anthony Ugwuozo, Onyebuchi Ezeokoye, Tochukwu Aniagbaoso, Ugochukwu Adiele, Comrade Adindu Okpara, among others said they drive without stress now and the cost of repairing their vehicles due to bad road has reduced drastically.
They further appreciated the efforts of the Governor in driving away touts who extort them on the road but pleaded with the Government to intensify operation at Obodo Ukwu road, Bridge head and other places as according to them, harassments by tout in those areas is becoming worrisome.ngozi
Some road users, Mrs Francisca Okpoke affirmed that the roads in the commercial city are motorable now except for few potholes while Mrs Chioma Ani said traffic has completely reduced but condemned reckless drivers who risk life of passengers as a result of over speeding.
