The President-General of Mgbakwu Progressive Union, Honourable Basil Chukwu, the National Executive of the town Union and the entire people of Mgbakwu community in Awka North Local Government Area have endorsed Governor Chukwuma Soludo for re-election in the forthcoming Anambra State Governorship Election .Honourable Chukwu made this known while commending the outstanding achievements of Governor Soludo towards making Anambra State a liveable and prosperous homeland.
The President-General stated that since the Governor assumed office all part of the state have benefited in human and infrastructural development agenda of the administration.
Honorable Chukwu affirmed that his home town Mgbakwu has benefited immensely from the various interventions of the Soludo administration which he said have improved the welfare of the people of Mgbakwu community, including repositioning Mgbakwu Primary Healthcare for standard and quality medical service delivery. The Mgbakwu community also extols impacts of Soludo government’s interventions in the Anambra State Polytechnic, Mgbakwu, noting that the visit of the governor to the Polytechnic remains a true evidence that he prioritizes education as the best investment for human capital development and transformation of the society.
The Mgbakwu community also appreciates the construction of Mgbakwu-Achalla Road by the governor, which has made it possible for them to easily access their Awka North Local Government Area headquarters and of the constructing of Amansea-Ebenebe-Ugbene-Ugbenu-Awba-Ofemili Road, which has improved the living standard of the people of Awka North and Anambra State in general. The people of Mgbakwu community are equally indebted to Governor Soludo for the appointment of their illustrious son, Honourable Thank-God Anago, first as Transition Committee Chairman of Awka North Local Government Council and was later elected Mayor of the Council .
However, the people of Mgbakwu are also appealing to the Governor to initiate more interventions in the community including need to construct the road linking Mgbakwu town to Ebenebe town, passing through Anambra State Polytechnic, Mgbakwu. This will enhance socio-economic activities in the area and boost the agricultural economy of Mgbakwu and Anambra state because it transverses the farmlands of the area .
The Mgbakwu community is also appealing to Anambra State Government to rehabilitate Mgbakwu General Hospital to meet the health needs of the people as well as improve electricity supply to the area through supply of more transformers.
It is important to state that Mgbakwu Progressive Union under the President-General Honourable Chukwu has been transforming the town including grading most of the Mgbakwu village roads , providing new generating plant to Mgbakwu Primary Healthcare Centre, providing chairs for Mgbakwu Town hall and constructing four different culverts in the town as well as resolving not less than one hundred and eighty land disputes in the community and domesticating State government’s land administration laws.
It is as a result of all these practical evidence of good governance that people of Mgbakwu are urging Ndi Anambra to return Governor Soludo for second term in the November eight, 2025 governorship election.
Truly Anambra State is now a liveable and prosperous homeland.
