The President-General of Nkpologwu Progressive Union Professor Ferdinand Ezeiruaku, the traditional ruler of Nkpologwu Kingdom, Igwe Moses Okpalanwaka and the entire people of the community have unanimously expressed their support for Governor Chukwuma Soludo.
The community noted that the Governor has in a little over three years succeeded in transforming the entire communities in Anambra State including Nkpologwu town.
Nkpologwu Progressive Union President-General, Professor Ezeiruaku made it clear that Governor Soludo has fulfilled his campaign promises to the people and justified the confidence reposed in him. He noted that since Governor Soludo came to power on March seventeen, 2025 to this day, he has been implementing people oriented policies, programmes and projects that are improving the welfare of Ndi Anambra.
The President-General explained that Nkpologwu community has benefited from the Infrastructural developmental strides, security, scholarship and youth development policies, programmes and projects of the Soludo’s Government, including the construction of Nkpologwu – Amesi -Uga Road and also the ongoing Amawbia – Nibo -Nise -Nri -Agulu -Nanka – Ekwulobia – Nkpologwu – Uga Road. The community also benefited from the operations of Agunaechemba Security Outfit, education scholarships, and one youth two skills empowerment programme. The community also thank the governor for his healthcare intervention by rehabilitating Nkpologwu Primary Health Care Centre.
However , the community seeks state government’s intervention on erosion menace ravaging Nkpologwu’s landscape , building of International Market in the community and assist in completing on going market project initiated by the community, establish a tertiary institution, to further improve human capital development that would help in consolidating Anambra State as a liveable and prosperous homeland.
Since the emergence of the President-General of the community, Professor Ezeiruaku, the town union government has achieved sustainable peace, unity and development in the community, including the ongoing construction of Azudo International Market, maintaining and equipping Edaultraut-Memorial Community Hospital, awarding scholarships in collaboration with other stakeholders to indigenes of the community, training youths in entrepreneurship and vocational skills and supported the building of skill acquisition center at Nkpologwu by the Nkpologwu Progressive Union (Women Wing) as well as sensitizing Ndi Nkpologwu to invest at home in line with the think home philosophy of Governor Soludo.
Professor Ezeiruaku led Town Union has also facilitate the building of the Nkpologwu Progressive Union Secretariat through communal efforts and expanded the premises by acquiring the land directly in the front view.
Professor Ezeiruaku regime has equally constructed six classroom blocks , fenced the school , renovated the assembly hall of the school, upgraded the sports field of Nkpologwu Community Secondary School, fenced the entire secondary school and has sustained efforts towards organizing Nkpologwu Football Competition among all the villages and branches of the town union as well as institute scholarship scheme for exceptional students.
In 2024, the community organized Christian Crusade and is presently organizing Nkpologwu Mass Return and Cultural Festival 2025.
The town union has continued to sensitize Nkpologwu people to key into Governor Soludo’s vision and mission of making Anambra State a liveable and prosperous homeland.
