Commentary: Nibo Community And Soludo Development Solutions

The President-General of Nibo Community in Awka South Local Government Area, Professor Tony Nwokoye recently urged Anambra to vote massively for Governor Chukwuma Soludo in the November Eight Governorship election to sustain the tempo of development across the state.

The President-General, Professor Nwokoye, the traditional ruler of Nibo Kingdom, Eze Michael Ngene  and the entire  people of Nibo community have affirmed  that Nibo town has benefited and still benefiting from various development initiatives of Governor Soludo. 

Nibo sons and daughters therefore thank Governor Soludo for the ongoing construction of Anambra State Rehabilitation Centre at Nibo,  the ongoing construction  of Isiagu junction – Ifite-Nibo, – Okwuorji road, with a spur  to UgwuNwoka, down to Oye Nwochichi and joining the Amawbia -Nibo Road.

However, Nibo community is still requesting for more interventions by the Governor in other areas because of the strategic location of the town in Awka South Council Area. 

To sustain high tempo of socio-economic activities in the community, Nibo needs more interventions on roads including Ezeawulu -Nibo Road.

 The road when constructed  will link the on going  Amawbia – Nibo- Nise- Agulu-Ekwulobia-Nkpologwu-Uga dual carriage way project that has gotten to advanced stage and would  boost commercial activities  in the area because of the Ezeawulu -Nibo International Market in that area. 

There is also need to construct Nibo  Ring Road   linking Umuawulu, Mbaukwu to  Nise town, the Ring road  to Ebedegene to Oye Nwochichi Road, Ifite-Nibo junction to Ezike-Nibo Palace road as well as the bridge linking Ifite-Nibo together, in addition to other important roads in the community. It is important to note that two illustrious sons of Nibo community  Chief Emma Nwaonu and Chief  Innocent Akuvue have  individually constructed two different quality roads in two different parts of Nibo. 

The community also request state government’s intervention in upgrading facilities and equipping  Ezike High School, Nibo, and Nibo Community Secondary School, and other schools in the area as well as assist in paying the security personnel employed by the community to protect the schools and operatives of Agunaechemba Security Outfit in the town. 

 It is important to note that illustrious sons and daughters of Nibo living in United States of America built Nibo Community Hospital, and equipped it with quality health facilities and qualified  health workers and constructed the  road that links the medical facility to Amawbia junction. 

In the area of youth development and empowerment, the former President -General of the town, Dr Innocent Akuvue facilitated the training of thirty Nibo youths on skill acquisition  in international trade of agricultural products and the beneficiaries are training other youths in the community while another illustrious son, Chief  Emeka  Orjiakor  has donated  five million naira for the economic empowerment of Nibo youths on  December thirty, this year.

The President-General, Professor  Nwokoye  has among other things conducted Nibo Youths election and is almost completing the Eke-Nibo Market as well as attracted the building of Federal Cultural Centre to  Nibo town

The administration has also fenced  Ezike High School  and mounted two major gates as well as fenced Nibo Civic Centre,  through the help Nibo Chiefs.  

As the second term election of Governor Soludo draws nearer, the  people of Nibo community are appealing to the Anambra electorate to vote massively for APGA to enable the Governor to complete his vision of  liveable and prosperous homeland for the state.
