The Anambra State governor’s wife Mrs Nonye Soludo is positively impacting on perception and psychology of people and gradually changing their mindset towards positive lifestyle.
Mrs Soludo is a product of distinctive ordinariness, whose image and presence generate warmth, peace and hope among the people.
About two weeks ago during her visit to Dunukofia Local Government Headquarters, Ukpo, for the disbursement of fifty-four million two hundred and fifty million naira recapitalization grants to about one thousand and eighty-five female petty traders , the governor’s wife took a step that held the crowd awestruck. While handing out the grants to the women who were lined up a few metres away from where she was seated, Mrs Soludo ever-conscious eyes caught two walking impaired persons who were struggling for movement on the grassy field. She immediately called the Commissioner for Health, Dr Afam Obidike and told him that she needed two wheelchairs for the two physically challenged persons.
After the event ended, two brand new wheelchairs arrived all the way from Awka and Mrs Soludo was still patiently waiting to personally take delivery and hand them over to two psychically challenged persons.
Mrs Soludo did not only ensure that the two persons got comfortably seated on the wheelchairs, but also provided them with financial assistance.
That is the nature of Anambra state governor’s wife . She is a woman whose aura of kindness and altruism go right before her name and personality. That was not the first time that Mrs Soludo demonstrated such a selfless gesture of love.
The Anambra Governor’s wife has continued to provide assistance and showing her natural traits of compassion without undue publicity.
What makes the Anambra Governor’s wife most unique is the impact she makes on the world around her, Her simple standards and overall way of life. Most people have often observed that Mrs Soludo does not exhibit the traditional flamboyance that often spotlights a governor’s wife, especially in Nigeria.

Mrs Soludo is also not relenting in protecting, people with disabilities, women and girls from all forms of abuse and violence to give them stronger voice and presence in the society.
