Nnokwa Progress Union (NPU) Lagos Branch holds the fourteenth Edition of her Annual Youth Forum on Saturday twenty-third August 2024 at Nnokwa Civic Centre Ejigbo Lagos State. This program which has proved to be touch bearer to the teaming youths of Nnokwa origin living in Lagos and beyond has continuously shown the way, guiding the leaders of tomorrow and harnessing their potential by laying solid foundation necessary for growth and development.
This 2025 Youth Forum titled ‘Developing Proficiency of Computer Hardware using Varying Digital Tools” continues to speak to the essence of computer literacy in today’s world, where being armed with the right computer skillset is critical in positioning for influence in a world which has become rife with cutting edge competitiveness. In view of numerous capabilities inherent in the subject matter, it has become pertinent that youths are well equipped with the prerequisite knowledge and skills today, to enable them to take advantage of their tomorrow.
Developing Proficiency of Computer Hardware provides one with the opportunity to compete favorably since you are armed with a skillset that keeps you relevant in-time. It refers to the ability to effectively use computer systems and software to perform various tasks. It encompasses a range of skills, from basic operations like using a mouse and keyboard to more advanced tasks such as using specific software applications, troubleshooting, and understanding computer systems. This knowledge has become important even as examinations into higher institutions and seeking meaningful job opportunities have become increasingly dependent on the use of computer systems. Nnokwa Progress Union Lagos Branch being abreast of the numerous advantages of Proficiency of Computer Hardware is excited to equip her future leaders by assembling experts to take them through the acquisition and application of this knowledge which will benefit them in their various fields of endeavors. This event will be anchored by Google certified computer expert, Engineer George Chinedu, an upward mobile and versatile expert with huge experience in computer applications, software development and marketing.
Nnokwa Progress Union Lagos Branch is committed to making the world a better place and her Youth Forum is geared towards deepening that goal through mentoring, skill acquisition, youth empowerment, counselling, and career guidance. This has helped in preparing the youths through activities and experiences that help them develop social, ethical, emotional, and cognitive competencies which include ability to analyze their own strengths and weaknesses, set personal and vocational goals, and have the self-esteem, confidence, motivation, and abilities to carry them out.
This association under the able leadership of Nze Clement Ezegbunam, who has continued to reiterate the commitment of his administration towards building a knowledge driven prosperous Nnokwa Community, is calling on Youths to take advantage of the training and empowerment package that this year’s Youth Forum is providing.
