Today, August 3rd, the hearts of family, friends, and countless beneficiaries of goodwill across Nigeria and beyond are united in celebration of an extraordinary man, High Chief Dr. Azubuike Augustine Ekweozor, fondly known as Ide Umuawulu, Nwanayoeze.
Born the first son of the late Chief Emmanuel Ekweozor and Mrs. Christiana Ekweozor (Asa Mgboye) of Agbana Village in Umuawulu, Awka South Local Government Area, Dr. Ekweozor has risen from a strong and noble lineage to become a beacon of hope, a champion of philanthropy, and a driver of development.
A man of exceptional vision and tireless enterprise, Dr. Ekweozor is a respected Freight Forwarder, registered with the Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding Practice in Nigeria, and operates a fully licensed Customs agency.
His business sense shines through a diverse portfolio of successful companies that contribute meaningfully to Nigeria’s economy. These include
Foresight and Success Trend Limited, Ajiyi Farms and Agro-Allied Services Limited, Muzzy World Entertainment Centre, All Times Table Water, Mayor Links and Resources Ltd and Ocean Magnet Oil and Gas Nigeria Limited.
But beyond his business achievements lies a heart deeply committed to service and humanity.
Through his foundation, the Ide Global Movement, guided by the noble motto “Enriching the Masses,” Dr. Ekweozor has touched countless lives. He has awarded scholarships to underprivileged students, built homes for widows, empowered hundreds of young people financially, and in a remarkable show of generosity, recently extended support to over six hundred NYSC members, as well as churches and other groups across the country.
To his community, Ide Umuawulu is more than a traditional title. It is a reflection of the man himself, a leader defined by love, humility, and an unwavering commitment to service. In recognition of his selfless contributions, his people proudly bestowed on him the prestigious title of Ide Umuawulu.
His efforts have not gone unnoticed. He has received numerous accolades and was awarded an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Business Administration by Prowess University, Delaware, USA, in collaboration with the Institute of Arts Management and Professional Studies.
On the political front, Dr. Ekweozor is a loyal and active member of the All-Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA). He continues to support and empower party members and is leading the charge to rally grassroots support for Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s re-election on November eight through his vibrant platform, the Ide Global for Soludo Second-Term Support Group.
As he marks his fifty-third birthday, we celebrate not just the passage of time but the impact of a life well lived, a life dedicated to compassion, empowerment, and positive change. Dr. Ekweozor reminds us that greatness is not measured by what we acquire but by how many lives we uplift.
