The competition, sponsored by Onyedikachi and Onyebuchi Ike; credited with hit songs such as “Odeshi” and “Asampete” and popularly known as C-Unit by their stage name, is to be played amongst select schools in all the senatorial district of the state, with the maiden game played between Community High School, Nawfija, and Community Secondary School, Ufuma.

The Coordinator of the competition for the area, Mr. Ifunnaya Nwafor, explained that having achieved feats in their musical career abroad, C-Unit decided to give back to society by sponsoring the competition, on regular basis with a prize of one million naira for the champions, and other prizes for both winning teams and players.
