Building Collapse:  Soludo Asks NSE To Tackle Quackery, Assures Of Partnership

Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, has reiterated his administration’s commitment to partnering professional engineers in the state to tackle the menace of building collapse caused by quackery in the construction sector.

Government House Correspondent, Emmanuel Okonkwo reports that the Governor made this known through his Deputy, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, when members of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Awka Chapter, paid him a courtesy visit at the Government House, Light House, Awka.

Governor Soludo emphasized that the role of engineers in societal development cannot be overemphasized, urging the association to intensify efforts in monitoring engineering practices to curb the activities of quacks in the profession. 

Earlier, the Chairperson of the association, Engineer MaryJane Okoli, who led the delegation, commended the Governor for his developmental strides across the state and appealed for stronger collaboration between the association and the state government.
