To retire hale and hearty as a civil servant at the age of sixty is a rare feat, no wonder it was a moment of joy and gratitude to God as the Administration Department of Anambra Broadcasting Service, ABS, organized a send-off party for one of its staff members, Mrs. Blessing Ekpunobi, who recently bowed out of service.
Speaking during the event, the Managing Director of ABS, Mr. Chris Molokwu, expressed delight over her healthy retirement, acknowledging her hard-work and commitment to duty, and encouraged other staff to remain dedicated to their jobs and make positive impact while in service.
The Director of Administration, Mrs. Chinwe Emma-Mmadu, and Director of Engineering Services, Mr. Paul Okoye, attested that Mrs. Ekpunobi was devoted to her duties and maintained cordial relationships with colleagues throughout her stay in ABS, praying that God will continue to keep her in good health and grant her greater opportunities to serve humanity.
Other staff members from her department and beyond, including Mrs. Blessing Emegoakor, Ngozi Egeonu, and Mrs. Victoria Anaelo, took turns to praise Mrs. Ekpunobi, describing her as a blessing to humanity and wished her well in her future endeavours; while the retiree, Mrs. Ekpunobi, appreciated God for keeping her alive and healthy to witness the day and thanked ABS, particularly the Administration Department, for supporting her throughout her years of service.
