It was a gathering of bishops, knights, ladies auxiliary, top government functionaries, and others at Saint John the Divine Church, Oko, in Orumba North Local Government Area, during a special service to mark the Pearl Marriage Anniversary of the Anglican Bishop of Aguata Diocese, Right Reverend Samuel Ezeofor, and his wife, Chinyere.

In his sermon, the Anglican Bishop of Ideato South Diocese, Right Reverend Henry Okeke, described the thirty-year marriage anniversary of the bishop and his wife as a celebration of a great conversion experience, pointing out that the couple has continued to touch lives in addition to making positive impact on the people.
According to Right Reverend Okeke, since Bishop Ezeofor surrendered his life to Christ on December thirtieth, 1983, he has been at the forefront of evangelism, converting people to God and charged Christians to anchor their marriages on God in order to overcome the challenges of life.

In their remarks, the celebrants, Right Reverend Samuel and Mrs. Chinyere Ezeofor, while recounting their marital journey, thanked God for keeping them united for the past thirty years.

The Archbishop of the Ecclesiastical Province of the Niger and Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Reverend Alexander Ibezim; the Speaker Anambra State House of Assembly, Right Honourable Somtochukwu Udeze; the Chancellor of Aguata Diocese, Justice Peter Obiora; and the Accountant General of Anambra State, Dr. Chukwudi Okoli, were among those who attended the ceremony during which, Bishop Ezeofor also presented a book he authored, titled Stewardship: A Principle of Transformation.
