The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Barrister Mimi Azikiwe of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) winner of the Onitsha North State Constituency One by-election.
The Returning Officer, Prof. Ibiam Ikwo-Ekpe, announced the results late yesterday.
Barrister Azikiwe polled a total of 7,774 votes to defeat other contenders.
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate secured 1,909 votes, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate polled 1,371 votes, while the Young Progressives Party (YPP) scored 655 votes, among others.
