The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has declared Chief Emma Nwachukwu of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, winner of Anambra South Senatorial District by-election held on Saturday.
Announcing the result at INEC office in Nnewi North Local Government Headquarters, the Returning Officer, Professor Frank Orjiakor, declared that Chief Nwachukwu polled 90,408 votes to defeat other candidates in the election.
He said Chief Azuka Okwuosa of the All Progressives Congress, APC, gathered 19,812 votes to come second, while Young Progressives Party, YPP, came third with 6,538 votes.
