The Mayor of Anaocha Local Goverment Area, Honourable Rome Ibekwe has unveiled the 2025 Anaocha Solution Championship Competition for secondary schools in Anaocha.
The unveiling which held at the council’s headquarters Neni, was attended by game masters and prefects with the aim of implementing school sports festival to identify and nurture talents as a strategic plan to develop sports in Anambra.
Addressing the gathering, Honorable Ibekwe who spokeactivists detained when a flotilla trying to through his Deputy, Barrister Peter Emene said that the competition will nurture, harness and direct the budding talents, even as he said that his administration has great plans for young people.
In their separate speeches, the Speaker of the Congress of Councillors in Anaocha, Honourable Ephraim Ononenyi and the Chairman, Committe on Sports, Honourable Nnamdi Obidigbo told the prefects that most professional sportsmen were identified through similar sports events and asked them to consider it as a life time opportunity and privilege.
