The Anambra State Government has called on transporters to support her efforts to end the Monday sit-at-home tradition by resuming full operations on Mondays.
Commissioner for Information, Dr. Law Mefor, during a one-day training and retraining program for commercial drivers and riders in Anambra State, noted that full operation of transporters was needed in ending sit at home in the state.
The training, organised by the Ministry of Transport aimed to equip drivers and riders with the necessary skills and knowledge to navigate the state’s transportation sector effectively.

Declaring the event open, the Commissioner for Transport, Mrs Patricia Igwebuike, explained that the essence of the program was to keep commercial drivers and riders in the state abreast of basic rules and practices that promote safety on the roads.
