Anambra State government has promised to wade into the lingering crisis ravaging the Nigeria Union Of Local Government Employees, NULGE, with a view to finding a lasting solution and ensuring that peace returns to the Union.
The Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Chief Tony-Collins Nwabunwanne made the promise after having a closed door meeting with the National President of NULGE, Comrade Aliyu-Haruna Kankara with some national, zonal and Anambra State executives of the union who called on him to bring an end to the crisis in the union.

Addressing the group who later visited her in her office at the Jerome Udorji Secretariat, Awka, Anambra State Head of Service, Barrister Theodora Igwegbe, who frowned at the state executive of the union for not carrying her along even before the crisis, charged them to stop every protest forthwith to enable her meet with the two parties so as to bring peace back to the union.

Speaking to the ABS, the National President of NULGE Comrade Kankara, stated categorically that the comrade Eucharia Uyawune led exco of the union in Anambra is the authentic exco duly elected by the national body, stressing that they cannot allow another faction to disorganised the union under any guise, while the Anambra State Acting President of the union, Comrade Uyanwune assured that her Executives will toe the path of peace whenever it is initiated.
