Anambra State Executive Council has named Anambra Government House Mini City “Light House Awka” after deliberating over a suitable moniker; ANSEC during its meeting, christened and proclaimed it “Light House Awka,” in keeping with Anambra State’s slogan, “Light of the Nation.”
The Council also resolved that, Anambra State Electricity Regulatory Commission is to be established to perform its functions as contained in the recently assented Anambra State Electricity Law, and to immediately establish the Anambra State Electricity Regulatory Commission as well as launch a recruitment drive for subject-matter experts to join the new commission among others.
According to the State Commissioner for Information, Dr Law Mefor, Council also awarded the construction of Factory Warehouse for Processing of Pharmaceutical Grade Kaolin at Kaolin Plant, Ukpor, to Strata Projects limited at the sum of one hundred and ninety million, four hundred and eighty-two thousand, four hundred and sixty-seven naira, and ninety-four kobo with the duration of eight weeks from mobilization.
It also approved the extension of Nnewi Industrial line and Supply, as well as installation of a 750 KVA Transformer at Anambra State Kaolin Plant, Ukpor to Zamic Ventures limited at the sum of one hundred and ten million, one hundred and fourteen thousand, five hundred and ten naira, sixty-kobo with the duration of six weeks from mobilization and equally approved the procurement and Supply of official uniforms and operational gears to Operation Clean and Healthy Anambra to Analiro Enterprises limited, at the sum of one hundred and fifty-five million, six hundred and fifty-three thousand, five hundred and fifty naira.
