Anambra State House of Assembly’ Committee on Health has carried out an oversight visit to the Anambra State College of Nursing Sciences, Nkpor, Idemili North Local Government Area, to assess the state of facilities, academic environment, and overall compliance with health education standards.
House of Assembly Correspondent, Emmanuel Chigbata, reports that the Chairman of the Committee and Member representing Aguata Constituency Two, Honourable Tony Muobike, who led the committee,said the visit was in line with the committee’s constitutional responsibility to ensure that institutions under the health sector are functioning optimally and contributing effectively to human capital development in the state
The Acting Provost of the College, Mrs. Mercy Ezeani, while receiving the lawmakers, thanked them for the visit and noted that the school has witnessed steady progress in students’ enrollment, academic excellence, and professional output and urged the state government to reconstruct the road that leads to the college to alleviate their sufferings.
