In keeping with his efforts to promote education in Ogbaru Council Area, the Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Right Honourable Somtochukwu Udeze, has launched a ten million naira education grants for undergraduates, as well as student nurses in Colleges of Nursing Sciences who are from the area.
According to Speaker Udeze, the initiative unveiled at the state legislative complex, will help alleviate the financial burdens faced by many Ogbaru students, even as he encouraged the students to remain steadfast, focused, morally upright, avoid distractions and make the most of the opportunities provided for them.
While the lawmaker representing Aguata Constituency Two, Chief Tony Muobike, commended the Speaker for the visionary and people-centered intervention, the Chairman on the occasion, Reverend Father Fidelis Nwanze, and Architect Augustine Anaegbunam appreciated the Speaker for the gesture, and advised the beneficiaries to make good use of the support and strive for academic excellence.
Some of the beneficiaries, including Miss Ginikachukwu Uzor and Mr Micheal Odigo expressed gratitude to the Speaker for the intervention, and pledged to make good use of the funds.
