The Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Right Honourable Somtochukwu Udeze has called on Nigerians irrespective of their religious inclinations and affinity to come together and seek lasting solution to the Nation’s problems through prayer for the peace and progress of the country.
Felicitating Muslims as they celebrate this year’s Eid-El-Maulud, Right Honourable Udeze enjoined Muslim leaders to shun acts capable of causing disharmony in the country and always uphold those values and practices that will create peace, growth and development of the country.
The Speaker who maintained that both Christian and Muslim leaders must agree to work concertedly towards addressing the sociopolitical and economic challenges facing the masses, enjoined them to co- exist in the interest of peace and remain truthful at all times.
He commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for his accommodating spirit and high sense of hospitality which he has continued to extend to the Muslims in the State as they pursue their endeavors peacefully and charged them to join hands with the Governor to promote peace and security in the State.
