Members of the Anambra State eighth Assembly have took turns to commend the Independent National Electoral Commission for the peaceful and credible conduct of Anambra State gubernatorial election and congratulated Governor Chukwuma Soludo and his Deputy, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim on their resounding re-election victory.
The commendation followed a motion moved by the member representing Anaocha Constituency Two, Honourable Ejike Okechukwu, who acknowledged INEC for the peaceful and credible conduct of the election which strengthens the democratic process in the state and nation at large.
Other members of the House, including those of the opposition party, such as the Minority Leader, Honourable Johnbosco Akaegbobi, Honourable Noble Igwe representing Ogbaru Constituency One, and Honourable Patrick Udoba of Anambra West among others said that the Governor’s victory is a clear affirmation of the people of Anambra States Confidence in the Governor’s Visionary leadership, transformative governance and commitment to the solution Agenda for the states development
In his congratulatory message to the Governor, the speaker, Right Honourable Somtochukwu Udeze, said that the Governor’s re-election is a testament to the trust Ndi Anambra have in his administration, noting that the House remains committed to partnering with the Executive to ensure sustained progress across the state.
