Anambra State House of Assembly has passed a resolution commending Governor Chukwuma Soludo for the effective security measures implemented during the Christmas and New Year festive period .
The motion sponsored by the member representing Onitsha South Constituency two, Honourable Jude Umennajiego, who said Anambra State and indeed the Southeast region was ravaged by grave insecurity, including kidnapping, killings, violent robberies and other vices, while criminal camps and cells were littered in several locations in Anambra State, commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo who through his visionary and proactive steps, confronted insecurity, flushed out the hoodlums from their criminal camps, through coordinated efforts with security agents.
He noted that Anambra State House Of Assembly played a crucial role by timely and expeditiously enacting the Homeland Security Law, an executive bill, which empowered the Governor to establish the Agunechemba security outfit.
