Anambra State House of Assembly has passed a resolution calling on Professor Chukwuma Soludo, to direct the Acting Managing Director of Anambra State Investment Promotion and Protection Agency (ANSIPPA) to revoke non-active Memoranda of Understanding from the last two administrations.

The call was made during plenary following a motion presented by the member representing Nnewi South Constituency Two, Honourable Johnbosco Akaegbobi, who expressed concern over numerous inactive MoU’s that have failed to deliver the anticipated economic benefits to the state.

In their reactions the Majority Leader of the House, Sir Ikenna Ofodeme, the member representing Aguata Constituency One Honourable Anayo Okpalaeke, and Honourable Emma Nwafor representing Orumba South emphasized that revoking the dormant agreements would free up resources, allowing the state to focus on more impactful investments while the Speaker Right Honourable Somtochukwu Udeze read out the resolution which received support from lawmakers.
