Anambra State Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, has as part of its oversight functions, visited the five million scoff capacity Cottonwooden Gas Limited at Omasi Community, Ayamelum Local Government Area.
The ministry, led by its Commissioner, Barrister Anthony Ifeanya, disclosed that the visit was aimed at finding out the reasons Anambra State Government is yet to get its due loyalties.
The Administrative and Finance Manager, Cottonwooden Gas plant, Omasi, Mr. Chidi Nwanya, disclosed that they are not operating up to ten percent of their capacity due to the reduction in hydrocarbon from the fixed stock, noted that they had already engaged a contractor for an intervention work.
The visit came to a climax when the Commissioner, in company of the Special Assistant to Governor Chukwuma Soludo on Petroleum, Engineer Ikechukwu Okafor, the Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Mrs Nkiru Nwankwo and others visited the gas plant for first-hand information.
