The 2025 press week of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Anambra State Council has ended with a special thanksgiving service held at the Anglican Church of the Holy Spirit, Awka.
Correspondent Amaka Onwuzulike reports that the Chairman of the Council, Dr Odogwu Emeka Odogwu led the union members to the thanksgiving service where they thanked God for his grace that enables the union to function effectively.
On his part, the Vicar of Church of the Holy Spirit, Awka, Venerable Onyeka Egwuonwu explained that thanksgiving is a visible form of showing gratitude to God which will in turn attract more blessings to the giver, even as he urged the congregation to imbibe the act of regular thanksgiving.
While thanking God for a successful press week, Dr Odogwu charged members of NUJ to always apply ethics in their reportage and discharge their duties without fear or favour to enhance a better society.
