The Chairman, Nigeria Labour Congress, Anambra State Council, Comrade Humfrey u has urged the Federal Government to reverse the fifty percent tariff hike in telecommunication to ameliorate the sufferings of the masses.
Correspondent Chukwuemeka Modilim reports that Comrade Nwafor who made the call while commenting on the February fourth proposed labour nationwide protest over the hike said that NLC in Anambra State will join the protest to let the Federal Government know the inherent dangers of such an unfair increase on a struggling population, especially average workers.
Comrade Nwafor also observed that the hike in petroleum, electricity and telecommunication prices is causing inflation in the market as traders now buy goods at high rate and sell it above the reach of the common man.
