Ahead of the November 8 governorship election in Anambra State, Oba community in Idemili South Local Government Area has declared total support for Governor Chukwuma Soludo and his Deputy, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim.
While appreciating the community for organising the rally at Central School, Abaorji village in support of APGA, Governor Soludo emphasized that his administration is in support of culture and tradition which always stand for the truth and lauded Oba youth for leading the way to sanitize their community in support of hard work and not wealth by magical means.
The Governor’s response to the plea by Oba youth for the release of Akwa-Ọkụkọ-Tiwara-akị, was emphatic that he cannot interfere in the matter as it is already in court, assuring that his government is ready to partner Oba for a liveable neighborhood.
In their separate speeches, the Mayor, Idemili South Local Government Area, Mrs. Amaka Obi, President General of Oba Patriotic Union, Engr. Uzochukwu Ejiofor and Ikenna Iyiegbu, thanked the Governor for embarking on a number of reforms in the state, particularly in Oba, assuring that no vote will be lost in the community at the polls.
