To ensure a free, fair and credible polls, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has held a one-day electoral risk management workshop for stakeholders ahead of the November eight Anambra governorship election.
Addressing the participants including INEC electoral officers, security personnel and non governmental organisations, the Anambra State Resident Electoral Commissioner, INEC, Dr Queen-Elizabeth Agwu, explained that the aim of the workshop was to acquaint participants with electoral risk management activities of the commission, introduce them to electoral risk management methodology, as well as expose them to the electoral risk factors peculiar to Anambra.

In his remark, the Deputy Director, Intelligence, Department of State Service, Awka, Mr Shima Rhodes, commended INEC for their continued efforts in keeping Nigeria as one through a democratic process, urging the commission to intensify the sensitization campaign across the federation in order to minimize voter apathy.


In her presentation, a resource person, Dr Jennifer Ikechukwu, spoke extensively on ways to manage risk before during and after elections.
