Anambra Governorship Election: State Assembly Speaker Udeze Tasks INEC On Free, Fair, Credible Exercise

Ahead of this Saturday’s governorship election in the State, the Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Right Honourable Somtochukwu Udeze has called on the electorate to conduct themselves in a manner that will really depict the State as the Light of the Nation by remaining law-abiding and peaceful during and after the election.

Speaking to journalists in Atani, Ogbaru Local Government Area on the significance of the State’s Governorship Election, Right Honourable Udeze urged the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC to ensure free, fair and credible election in the State, adding that all eyes are on the commission to prove its competence and neutrality in the Anambra gubernatorial election, especially now that the commission has a new Chairman.

The State Number One Lawmaker  charged security agents deployed to the State for the election to work in tandem with other security operatives in the State to ensure that adequate security is maintained during the election.

Right Honourable Udeze advised politicians to desist from unwholesome acts that will impede the election, but to abide by the rules and regulations guiding the election, while urging the youth to resist attempts by desperate politicians to use them to perpetrate crimes and criminalities during or after the election.
