Thousands of Native doctors in Anambra have thrown their weight behind Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s administration and second term bid, saying it is because of his achievements and opportunities given to them.
In his welcome address at the meeting of the association held in Awka; where members expressed their decision through standing ovation, the Coordinator, Anambra State Native Doctors and Spiritual Material Sellers, Honorable Daniel Ejie, who commended the passage of Homeland Security Laws, reminded members that what the Governor did was to sanitize the system.

Adding their voices, some of the executive members of the association, including Chief Donatus Nwalunor, Mr Otisi Amakeze; a Chief priest of a deity, and Mrs Chinyelu Ndommadu maintained that Governor Soludo has done very well by recognizing them and ensuring that they are independent, reason she said they are throwing their weight behind his second term bid.


Addressing the meeting earlier, the Chairman, House Committee on Homeland Security, and Majority Leader of the House, Honourable Ikenna Ofordeme, who disclosed that the legislature has passed a law that regulate the activities and leadership of those who believe that they have the call to practice traditional medicine, which Governor Chukwuma Soludo assented to but cautioned those who still hide under the umbrella of Native doctors to perpetrate evil to retrace their steps .
